A rod-type pressure sensor is a compact transmitter for measuring pressure in gases, liquids, and vapors. Its slim probe installs directly into pipelines, vessels, and hydraulic systems where space is limited. It converts pressure into a 4-20 mA, 0-10 V, or digital signal for monitoring and control.

These sensors often use piezoresistive or capacitive cells. The rod design protects the diaphragm and electronics from vibration, shock, and temperature changes. Stainless steel or titanium housings suit water treatment, oil and gas, chemical processing, HVAC, and food production. With the right seal, they handle corrosive media and high-pressure cycles.

Key benefits include fast response, high accuracy, long-term stability, and easy mounting. Many models offer adjustable ranges, zero and span calibration, and IP67 protection. Some add temperature compensation and digital communication like HART, Modbus, or IO-Link. This helps engineers integrate sensors into PLC, SCADA, and IoT systems.

Selection depends on pressure range, media compatibility, temperature, output signal, connection, and thread. Proper installation and damping reduce pulsation and noise. Regular calibration ensures reliable readings and extends service life.

From compact machinery to heavy industry, rod-type pressure sensors deliver dependable performance. They improve safety, efficiency, and process quality while reducing downtime. Choosing the right supplier and model is essential for optimal results.
