Graybus cable is used in industrial communication systems that need stable data transmission and high noise immunity. Correct installation protects signal quality and extends cable life.

Before installation, confirm the cable model, route length, bend radius, and connector type. Inspect the drum for damage and check specifications.
Route the cable away from power lines, motors, and heat sources. Keep at least 30 cm from power cables; cross at 90 degrees if necessary. Use dedicated trays or conduits. Respect the minimum bend radius: 10 times the cable diameter for fixed installation and 15 times for moving use.
Pull the cable by hand or with a tension meter. Do not exceed the maximum pulling tension. Apply force to the conductor or strength member, not only the jacket. Avoid twisting, kinking, and crushing. Leave extra length for termination.
Prepare the cable. Strip the outer jacket without nicking the shield or conductors. Cut the shield evenly. Separate conductors by pin assignment. For shielded cable, clamp the shield to the connector shell or grounding bar with a low-impedance, 360-degree contact. Keep unshielded sections short.
Terminate conductors with the specified connectors. Use the correct wire gauge, torque, and terminal type. Do not over-tighten. Ensure A and B lines are not reversed. Set the terminating resistor only at the two physical ends. All intermediate nodes must be unterminated.
After termination, test continuity, insulation, and shield continuity. Label both ends and tighten glands. Document results.
