Corrosion-resistant electromagnetic flowmeters are designed for accurate flow measurement of conductive liquids in aggressive chemical, wastewater, and process environments. Common models are classified by lining material, electrode material, nominal diameter, and communication options. A typical PTFE-lined model suits strong acids and alkalis, while PFA lining supports high-purity and high-temperature service. Electrode selection is critical: Hastelloy C-276 offers broad chemical resistance, titanium suits oxidizing media, tantalum handles hydrochloric acid, and platinum-iridium is used for demanding applications. Standard specifications often include DN3 to DN3000, accuracy of ±0.5% or ±0.2%, liner temperature ratings from -20°C to 180°C, nominal pressure of 1.6 MPa or 2.5 MPa, and IP65 or IP68 protection. Outputs may include 4-20 mA, pulse, RS485/Modbus, HART, and alarm contacts. Power supply options include 85-265 VAC and 24 VDC. When selecting a model, confirm fluid conductivity, chemical compatibility, temperature, pressure, flow range, pipe connection, and installation conditions. Sanitary, flanged, wafer, and explosion-proof versions can be configured for special duties, and calibration certificates support quality control. Optional heating, grounding rings, and remote displays are also available. A correctly specified corrosion-resistant electromagnetic flowmeter improves measurement stability, reduces maintenance, and extends service life in harsh industrial pipelines.
